This course is designed to allow the student to understand issues with IT and the Law.
- It is important when taking an online course to become familiar with the tools that you will use. To accomplish that, you will do 3 introductory activities in "Begin Here" sub-module below.
1) You will complete assignment 0 to turn in your first assignment using the assignment tool link in the navigator bar for this module. It can also be located using the Assignment link in Course Tools.
2) You will introduce yourself to your classmates and me using the discussion tool link in the navigator bar for this module. It can also be located using the Discussion link in Course Tools.
3) You will send an email to me in reply to my email using the Mail tool in Course Tools.
- It is important that you monitor the announcements, email tool and calendar multiple times per week to keep up you're up to date with your coursework. This course covers a lot of material and it is necessary that you stay up to date.
- Some advice:
*Read the textbook as assigned. You will get a lot more out of this class, and be able to better perform on the assignments and quizzes, if you read the assigned parts of the textbook.
*Allow enough time: Most unsatisfactory grades are due to procrastination. Do not assume that you can complete the homework and reading assignments in the thirty minutes before they are due. Schedule regular work hours to complete your course work. Plan to spend 2-3 hours per week reviewing the book and slides. You will need an additional 1-2 hours to complete the homework for each module and take the short quiz.
- Modules for this course may have a quiz, discussion, or assignment which must be completed within the designated time limit as stated in the Module.
- Send questions to me using the D2L email tool.
- We will also use the Discussions tool for graded discussions.
- Grades for assignments and quizzes will be posted in the Grades tool in the Course ToolBar
